Is it summer yet?

It's early March. The kids are out in tank tops and shorts. Crazy!

Cousin Time

3.3.12

Teagan has so much fun playing when her cousins come over!

Asher and his hockey hat.

3.4.12

Asher helping out with pulling weeds. A neighbor kid was talking to Paul when we were outside and told him that her dad makes her pull weeds. Paul said when his kids are older maybe he'll ask them to pull weeds also. She said, "Only if you want them to hate you." Spoken like a true pre-teen.

Snuggled up

Interesting stuff happening outside! The neighbors tree was being trimmed and there was a big truck outside to mulch it up.

Always taking care of her babies!

After a fun morning at the park, an afternoon at home, and dinner, for some reason the kids were wired! I tried giving them a bath, but that seemed to wind them up even more! After their bath, I let them lay in bed and watch a cartoon. They were so cute snuggled under the sheets.

Dance!

2.29.12

Teagan had a busy day with her Grandma. She came home with a Weebles castle toy that she and Asher were both really enjoying. The best part is that is makes music. Which of course means you must dance!

3.1.12

I think we really are skipping winter and going right to Spring.

Chalk

The kids love playing with chalk outside. Teagan was explaining some of her current master pieces to me today. Asher mainly likes to color on himself.

Monkeys!

Asher thought it was pretty funny when he learned that we could velcro Teagan's Stars monkey's hands together and have it hang from him. He walked around with it just giggling. Of course Teagan had to try it out by dancing around with it on her back!

Hockey!

We had the opportunity to take the kids to another Stars game today. Teagan has been so excited the last few days, waiting for the big game day! She wanted to bring her baby doll Sarah with us. It was really cute seeing her talk to Sarah about the game and telling us what Sarah was thinking.

Nursing her baby doll at the game. Teagan remembered that she got a cookie at the last game, so she started asking for her cookie shortly after the game began. She also got to have chicken tenders and kept asking us, "What else do they have for kids?" She got kind of antsy towards the end of the game so we also got popcorn. When she saw the people in front of us have ice cream, she asked, "Is that for kids?" Paul was able to distract her with the promise of ice cream at another time.

The game fell right during Asher's nap time. He didn't let that stop him! He fell asleep during the 2nd period and slept through the rest of the game. Even all the noise didn't phase him. It was quite loud with all the excitement at the end of the game with the win, but I still had to wake him up when it was time to go.

Asher loves all the music at the games. He drops everything to dance when he hears any music.

The kids had fun choosing their souvenirs after the game. Asher got a hat and a little puppy dog. Teagan got a pink Stars outfit and a stuffed monkey. It is so fun now that they are both old enough to enjoy the game.

Rocking

Teagan has been playing with a stuffed bunny that was mine when I was younger. It's almost as big as Asher! She dresses it, puts shoes on it, bows on its ears, and made a bed for it in the bedroom tonight.

Of course, if Teagan was rocking, Asher needed to rock also. He was doing "shhh shhh shhh" while I sang the Wiggles Bear is Now Asleep song.

Belated Valentine Party

We had a belated Valentines Party with Teagan's friends today. The kids assembled their own heart shaped English muffin pizzas, we had heart shaped cucumber slices, pink drinks, and chocolate cupcakes with strawberry frosting. The kids had a lot of fun playing and we mamas chatted, whenever we could hear each other over the noise! After the party, Natasha, Meadhbh, and Aoife headed over to the park with us to fly kites. Natasha was able to successfully fly their kite, but ours was broken. We still had a lot of fun on the playground though.

Another day, another park!

2.23.12
Another beautiful February day! We packed a picnic lunch and headed to the park after story time at the library. We've been running around so much this week to activities and parks, and I'm exhausted! The kids don't seem the least bit phased. Where do they get all this energy?

And because this one is just too cute to not include, Asher with a purse and a baby. Or "bee-bee" as he likes to say.
