Tea Time

6.15.12

Asher enjoying his cup of tea.

Teagan helped mix up some play dough and got to work making some play dough donuts.

6.16.12

Asher "water melon face" swimming with his Daddy.

The swimming twins, Gabby and Teagan.

6.17.12

Teagan and I were sitting on the couch together both nursing our babies.

6.18.12

Teagan and Asher are always pretending that they are puppy dogs, so we used some old sheets to sew up a dog house cover to fit over their play table.

6.19.12

Hanging out on the couch together.

6.20.12

Lounging, or as Teagan always says, "beaching it".

Asher loves to play with any kind of sports balls outside.  He is so cute how he says, "hoof ball" , "ba-et-ball" , and "ten it ball".

Teagan was teaching swimming lessons to her doll Swimmy.

6.21.12

Working at Daddy's office.

Skinny Dipping kiddos

6.10.12

Crazy kiddos getting ready for bed.

6.11.12

Teagan watched a show about recycling and learned about different ways to recycle and re-use things.  After eating some yogurt, I saw a light bulb go off in her head and she decided to wash out the container and then paint it.  She even let Asher help her and thought about all the things she would do with her painted container.  Unfortunately, once dry, the paint just flaked right off the container.  Oh well, she enjoyed the process.

6.12.12

Asher was picking "flowers".

Check out Teagan riding her balance bike in her crazy mismatched pajamas!  She was cracking me up with her super short shorts.  It just kept reminding me of some kind of 80's athletic shorts.

6.13.12

 Impromptu naked kid swim!

6.14.12

Look at that mischievous smile as Asher was snacking on some chips.

Look at that cutie :)

Birthday and Anniversary

 6.4.12

It's always exciting when we look out the window and see ducks in our front yard.  Of course we have to go feed them, but when I told T we didn't have any bread, she said, "Go make some, Mommy."  I didn't think the ducks were going to wait for me to bake bread, so we found some of Paul's crackers and the kids had fun tossing them for the ducks to eat.

6.5.12

Teagan always volunteers to open up the umbrella when we are swimming.  It's a very important job.

Asher often prefers to "swim" in the water table.  Crazy baby.

6.6.12

Asher had to put on his shades to take this very important call.

Teagan and Asher were so excited to put on their rain boots and water shoes, grab their umbrellas, and go out in the rain.  A nice big clap of thunder sent them running right back inside!

6.7.12

Teagan really enjoys looking at her books.  She remembers the stories so well, and will often "read" them to us.  Lately she's been telling me that she wants to learn how to read for real.

Someone has to watch the ice cream maker to make sure the ice cream is churning as it should.  Half naked Asher seems like the perfect candidate.

6.8.12

Painting project at a play date with our friends.

I made a coconut cake with cream cheese frosting as my birthday cake.  When cream cheese frosting is being made, there are always children nearby to lick the beater!

6.9.12

Anniversary cake to celebrate our 11 year wedding anniversary.  The kiddos insisted on a candle and we sang "Happy Anniversary to you."

The Beach!

5.29.12

After the drive from Georgia to Orange Beach, AL, we wasted no time heading straight to the beach!  I think we had our feet in the sand within 20 minutes of arriving at our condo.

5.30.12

The kids really had fun playing in the sand.  On most days we headed out to the beach first thing in the morning, and then again in the late afternoon or evening.

5.31.12

We drove to Mobile Bay to visit the USS Alabama Battleship, a submarine, and museum.  It was really interesting to go inside the battleship and submarine.

6.1.12

Teagan loved being in the water with her daddy.

Asher loved his helmet he got at the Battleship gift shop.  He considers it proper headwear for any occasion.

6.2.12

I love seeing dolphins, so of course we had to go on a dolphin watching boat ride.  The kids liked being on the boat, especially when they got to help "drive" the boat.  We saw several dolphins come to the surface, but it wasn't really anything spectacular.

6.3.12

The long drive home.  Amazingly, we traveled for 11 hours with only 2 1/2 stops.

Georgia

5.22.12

Making pop bead jewelry.  Asher was already decked out in his hat and a bracelet on his arm.

5.23.12

Hanging out and snacking.

5.24.12

Another one of Teagan's fashion creations.

Teagan is so good with diapers.  When Asher was a baby, she observed and helped with every single diaper change!  She's a pro with her baby dolls, and sometimes she can even convince Asher to be her baby and then she will diaper him.

5.25.12
Birmingham, AL

After a full day of driving, we arrived in Birmingham, AL to visit my friend Lani.  The kids were so happy to be out of there car seats and running around.

We ate dinner at restaurant with a nice outdoor patio.  The weather was beautiful and the kids could run around while I got to catch up with Lani.

5.26.12
Byron, GA

After leaving Birmingham, we made a stop along the way for Paul to choose a new gun at a special government surplus gun store he has always wanted to go to.  Back in the car again, we drove 3 more hours to arrive at April's house just outside of Atlanta.  After dinner and some playing with cousins, the kiddos were out for the night.

5.27.12

We started out the morning in Georgia with a walk to the park down the street from April's house.  We had a assortment of scooters, bikes, and push toys to transport all the children.  Ethan found a frog which became his temporary pet.  He offered to find one for Teagan also, but I'm not so sure she'd actually want to hold it.

5.28.12

Teagan playing her baby cousin Mattie.  Although Teagan enjoyed her cousin's collection of trains, toy guns, and airplanes, she can't wait until Mattie is old enough to play dolls with her.

After visiting the Air Museum and grilling for Memorial Day, we had a cake for dessert.  Since we don't get to celebrate birthdays together, this was our chance to turn it into a birthday cake for everyone.  The kids all loved having a piece with their own candle.

Next up.... Off to the beach!
