New baby cousin

7.20.12

The kids just love greek yogurt.  It makes the best  body paint!

7.21.12

Teagan has been saving her money that she gets for her allowance.  When we were out at the craft store, she decided she was ready to make a purchase.  She chose some flower buttons that she used to make necklaces and glue onto a paper plate as an art project.

7.22.12

Enjoying cake at a friend's birthday party.

7.23.12

I'm not sure if they were playing chiropractor or something else, but Asher decided to use his tools to "fix" Teagan.

 7.24.12

Teagan and Asher have so much fun at Paul's office.  I'm sure they think he must spend his days at work coloring with highlighters, playing with his adding machine, and stapling.

Teagan is at the age now where she works really hard at drawing actual "things".  While Asher was napping, she spent a lot of time drawing wedding cakes.

7.25.12

Asher, wearing his "pearls", meeting his newborn cousin Brielle for the first time.

The girl cousins together.  Teagan, Brielle, and Ariah.

7.26.12

Asher was a happy customer at Teagan, Audrey, and Gabi's beauty salon.

7.27.12

Crazy kiddo!

 7.28.12

Asher is always close at hand to help with "daddy jobs."  He is going to learn so much about fixing things.

When Teagan colors in coloring books, she makes sure she colors every square inch of the picture.  She is very careful about staying in the lines.

 7.29.12

Asher loved meeting his cousin Connor's new hamster.

Teagan is very skilled at caring for multiple babies.  It's no big deal.  Just strap one on your back, and one on your front.

7.30.12

Asher is at the age now where he really enjoys looking at books.  I love it when I notice him sitting quietly, just looking at a book all on his own.

 7.31.12

Teagan has taken a new interest in her bath time baby, "Swimmy."  She lived out by the pool for quite awhile, but now she is back in the house getting regular baths by Teagan.

Asher really likes a new alphabet game we have on the iPad.  He is always asking for "ABC's iPad."

 8.1.12

All dressed up in mommy shoes and shirt.

My baby boy is starting to look all grown up.  He is in a big naked phase and it is so difficult to convince him to get dressed for anything.

8.2.12

Asher can not be trusted with markers. He will be coloring so nicely and next thing I know, his arms are covered.

Do kids ever get tired of playing with playdough?  Playdough cookies and cakes are a daily occurrence at our house.

Umbrellas

7.9.12

Asher rocking his crazy blue haired baby.  When Teagan is playing dolls, he will join in and take care of his own baby.  It's very cute when he tries to nurse his babies.

Teagan is always a very attentive Mommy.  Even when she hasn't yet had time to brush her own hair for the day :)

7.10.12

The kids recently got new umbrellas and were quite excited to try them out in the back yard during a little rain shower.

7.11.12

Trying out the new ear protection head phones that we got the kids to wear at the range.  Luckily, they seem to like them, so it's not too hard to get them to actually keep them on.

7.12.13

Asher is going to be so confused on his actual birthday.  Almost every day, Teagan tells him, "Asher, today is your birthday!"  And then she wraps him up presents, bakes a pretend cake, and plans a birthday party with party games for him.

7.13.12

Asher enjoyed "milking" a cow at the Children's Museum.

Driving a bus at the "Magic Schoolbus" exhibit.  My kids haven't actually ever seen the Magic Schoolbus show, but they enjoyed the weather themed exhibit.

Teagan was pretty good at the cow milking also.

7.14.12

Asher likes the mosaic stepping stone that Teagan made with her Grandma for me.

Hanging out watching chicken cook in the smoker.  High entertainment.

7.15.12

With Asher, everything becomes a gun!  He likes to hang the place mats on the chairs as his targets.

Crazy, "don't take my picture" Teagan.

7.16.12

It's so hot out during the day, but we've been getting out in the evening some for bike riding.  Teagan is doing really well on her balance bike.

7.17.12

Teagan and I have been working on learning the letter sounds.  Some days, when Asher is napping, we choose a letter, talk about the sound, and make a little letter card with the upper and lower case letter and a picture of a word that starts with it.

Asher decided to help pick up dried beans that Teagan dumped all over the floor.  His method of picking them up one at a time wasn't so efficient.  And it was so much more fun for him to use a broom to further scatter them all over the floor.

7.18.12

Asher's chocolate ice cream face!

Teagan likes to tie up her babies in their swaddle blanket, like she saw the Mongolian family do in the Babies movie.

7.19.12

It all starts out nice enough.  A new package of markers and construction paper, but the next thing you know, it becomes body art.

Ba-et-ball

6.30.12

Teagan and I went out shopping together and got a surprise for Asher.  We found an inflatable sprinkler basketball hoop toy.  Asher loves "ba-et-ball".  When we attached the hose for the sprinkler, the kids didn't actually like that, so that part was short lived.  It works great floating in the pool though.

Teagan chose an inflatable toy for herself also.

 7.1.12

Little guy snuggling with his daddy.

Teagan was dancing around singing a song about the "4th in July", as she always says.

7.2.12

Asher discovered one of Teagan's favorite books from when she was younger.  He really seemed to like looking at the babies.

I promise I'm a safe driver.  Really.  But for some reason Teagan seems to think it is fun to wear a helmet in the car.  I guess you can never be too careful.

7.3.12

Teagan and Asher were hard at work making play-doh cake pops.

7.4.12

Asher missed his normal nap time since we had family over on the 4th.  By about 4pm he just couldn't stay awake any longer.  He kept asking for "bed" so he got a nice late afternoon nap on the couch that got him through the evening fireworks.

Richardson launches the city fireworks from the park across the street from our neighborhood so we get to enjoy them from the comfort of our own yard.  It was the first time the kiddos had seen fireworks.  They enjoyed them, but I think they were getting tired by the end and we had to convince them to stick it out until the end.

7.5.12

My puppies.  Asher was even chewing on a bone from dinner.

7.6.12

Somehow eating yoghurt turned into body painting with yoghurt. It got out of hand pretty quickly.

Teagan picked out a piggy bank at the craft store and took her task of painting it very seriously.  Paul has been giving her $1 week as allowance.  We went shopping the previous weekend and I told Teagan that she could spend all her money on something small and her money would be all gone, or she could save her money for something bigger.  She decided she wanted to save her money, so we got a piggy bank.  Whenever I have mentioned something she could buy with her money, even the 25 cent honey stick at the Farmers Market, she tells me, "No, I want to save my money."

7.7.12

Just hanging out.

7.8.12

Crazy, fast truck driver.

Teagan was very proud of the target that she actually shot with Paul at the gun range today.
